Let's add the path to the Excel file that contains the list of all the items to purchase as a data item. In later chapters of the book, we will instruct the robot to use this path value to open up the Excel:
- Open the Get List of items to purchase page.
- Drag and drop a data item from the toolbox to the canvas.
- Double-click on the newly added data item. The Data Properties dialog appears. Enter the following:
- Name: Shopping List Excel File Path
- Data Type: Text
- Initial Value: c:\shopping\ShoppingList_Henry.xlsx
- Click OK to close the dialog. The data item appears on the canvas as a parallelogram with its names and value inside:
