Blue Prism has developed the MS Outlook VBO just for managing emails. It became available in August 2018 alongside the release of Blue Prism v6.3.
Before you can begin using the MS Outlook VBO, ensure that you have the following prerequisites installed:
- Outlook automation: This is a software component that was included in the Blue Prism installation file. Re-run the Blue Prism setup if you need to re-install this component.
- Microsoft Outlook 2016: It can be connected to Exchange or Gmail or Outlook.com. Your email provider doesn't matter, you just have to make sure that you are able to launch and open Outlook with a valid email address.
