Summary

In this chapter, a lot of external tools and libraries were discussed that extend the capabilities of the Robot Framework. First the web application testing was demonstrated through Selenium and its REPL shell that is handy to debug applications. Next, Java-based desktop application testing through the use of object-based testing was demonstrated. The Sikuli application and image-based testing was explained along with an in-depth case study which further explored the extensibility of its API to create a Robot Framework-friendly solution. Finally, some of the other popular libraries were listed.
