Where’s the OS 9 Desktop?

Maybe you used Mac OS 9 for a while and added Mac OS X to your Mac, or perhaps you switch back and forth between the operating systems. If so, you might feel nervous at first because you cannot get back to the OS 9 Desktop while running OS X. You can’t get to the Desktop itself, but Mac OS X made a folder for you that contains all of the items you left on the other Desktop.

In fact, if you have more than one partition, OS X made a “Desktop Folder” for each partition. Just open the partition, and on the top level you’ll see the folder.
