PC Slots and PC Cards

Most laptop computers, as well as other devices like digital cameras, have PC slots into which you slip PC cards. You might have heard these slots and cards referred to as PCMCIA, but that term is now limited to the association itself (the Personal Computer Memory Card International Association) and the cards and slots are simply called PC cards and slots.

PC cards are really little, as small as credit cards or half a stick of gum. There are a variety of PC cards for a variety of purposes.
