Chapter 34. Sharing Files on One Mac

Sharing files between multiple users on one Macintosh is useful in homes, schools, and many offices. In homes, for instance, each member of the family can have her or his own Home area, but parents can leave notes and photos for kids in a special folder, or kids can leave school papers for parents to proofread, and no one gets in anyone’s way. In schools, instructors can leave files accessible for all students, and students can drop off files for the instructor and no one else. In offices, people can leave important memos, reports, or photos for any other user to access. And best of all, it’s really easy.
