Create Your Buddy List

If you plan to chat often with certain people, add them to your Buddy List so you can easily see when they’re online, and with the click of a button you can start a chat or send a file.

This is a typical Buddy List. The people whose names are in bold are online and you can start a chat with them; the others are offline and unavailable at the moment.

To open your Buddy List and add people to it:

1.	Click the iChat icon in the Dock, if it’s not already open. If you don’t see your Buddy List, press Command 1 (that’s the number one), or go to the Window menu and choose “Buddy List.”
