Chapter 31. Using the World Wide Web

The World Wide Web is addictively fun to use. That’s one of the amazing things about this incredible technology—it’s so easy. You just need to know a few things about getting around. This chapter contains only a brief introduction, but it’s probably more than many people know who are surfing the web already.

If you’re not connected yet, the previous chapter will help you get there. Even if you’re not, just skim through this chapter to become familiar with the web, what you can expect, how to type in an address to get where you want to go, and what to do once you get there.
