Another way to get to the Internet and the World Wide Web is through America Online (AOL). America Online is not the Internet! This is how it works: America Online is an online service that you join for a monthly fee. If you use a phone modem, your modem dials a local number that AOL gave you and you “log on” (connect) to the service; if you have broadband, you still have to open the AOL application and log on to connect to the Internet.
