Chapter 28. Useful Utilities

Mac OS X provides you with a number of utilities, which are small applications that perform specific functions, such as help you troubleshoot problems on your computer, manage color, provide security, find special characters in your fonts, and more.

The Utilities folder is stored inside the Applications folder. If you find you get into it often, drag the Utilities folder up to the Finder window Toolbar so you can open it with the click of a button, no matter where you are.
