QuickTime Player

The QuickTime Player plays audio, video, and QTVR (QuickTime Virtual Reality) movies. In addition, it can display still image files in almost every mainstream format (JPEG, TIFF, PICT, GIF, PSD, PNG, BMP, and others). Any type of QuickTime file is referred to as a “QuickTime movie.”

You can play QuickTime movies in QuickTime Player or in any application that supports QuickTime, such as most popular browsers and some word processors. Use QuickTime Player to play movies that you downloaded to your computer, that you created on your computer, or that exist on the Internet.
