Installing New Fonts

Installing new fonts that you have bought or acquired is quite simple. Fonts are stored in several places on the Mac, but as a regular user, you are really only concerned about two of these places, as described below.

1.
If you want the newly installed fonts to be available to everyone who uses the Mac, install them in the System’s Library Fonts folder, as shown in 1, below. You must be logged in as the Administrator or have the Administrator name and password to install into this folder.
2.
Fonts can also be installed into the Fonts folders in individual users’ Homes, as shown in 2, below. The fonts will only be available to that one user.
