What Your Fonts Look Like

You have quite a few fonts (typefaces) available in Mac OS X. On these next several pages are examples of what is installed at the moment I write this, including the fonts that come with AppleWorks on iMacs (Apple always seems to add and remove a few fonts with every system upgrade). I’ve divided them into categories so it’s easier to find the sort of font you need.

Many applications automatically install their own fonts in a separate place so they are only accessible when that application is open, so you may find fonts in your font list that you don’t see here.

You’ll see there are a number of typefaces that you will probably never use, so to clean up your font list, you should probably sort them into collections, ...
