The Personal set of System Preferences are those that change the look of your screen and its various parts, which include the Desktop, Dock, General, and Screen Effects panes. This is also where you access the Login Items preferences for multiple users. The International preferences can change the language that appears in all the menus, dialog boxes, and even on the keyboard. These are either explained below, or there is a note telling you where else in the book you will find detailed information.
