If You Forgot a Password

After you forget your password for this or for that a few times, you get in the habit of writing it down. By the time you read this page, it’s probably too late and you’ve totally and utterly forgotten your password, or one of the users on your Mac forgot hers.

Change a user’s password

The main Administrator of the computer (the first Admin, the one who first turned on the machine and set it up) can change the password of a user or of a secondary Administrator.

To change a user’s password:

1.
You must be the main Admin of this computer, or have the name and password of the Admin so you can log in as Administrator.
