Good Housekeeping

When you’ve finished working for the day, it’s good housekeeping to close up all your windows on the Desktop because any window you leave open will reappear in front of your face when you turn your computer back on. It’s kind of like walking into the kitchen in the morning and finding last night’s dinner dishes still on the counter. Press Command Option W (or Option-click on a red close button) and every open Finder window will tuck itself away where it belongs. Wish the dishes did that.

However, you can take advantage of these windows staying where you left them and perhaps leave open your nice, neatly organized Home window and perhaps your favorite project folder so when you return to the Mac they are ready and waiting for ...
