Ejecting a Removable Disk
You may sometimes need to eject a floppy disk or removable hard disk to trade it with another, or simply to take your disk and go away. There are actually several ways to eject a removable disk. These techniques work for any removable disks you might use, such as Zip, Jaz, CDs, DVDs, or floppies. Except for using the Media Eject key, as explained on page 276, all of these techniques require that you be at the Desktop.
Always make sure before you eject a disk that you have closed any documents and quit any applications you used from that disk. If you don’t, you’ll get this message when you try to eject:
