Making Sure Your Printer is Connected and Turned On

If you just need to “add” your printer to the printer list, skip to the following page. If something else seems to be wrong, check the list below.

If your printing didn’t work automatically, check the following:

• I’m assuming that if you bought a printer, you made sure it was compatible with your Macintosh; for instance, if your computer uses USB ports (which it does if it was built since late 1998), you must get a USB-compatible printer and a USB cable.
