Spring-Loaded Folders

The Delay indicates how long you have to hover your mouse over a folder or icon in the Toolbar before its window opens. Press the Spacebar when your mouse is positioned over a folder and it will open instantly, regardless of how long your delay is set, even if you uncheck spring-loaded folders.

With spring-loaded folders turned on, you can drag a file to a folder, and if you don’t let go, that folder will open up. Without letting go of the file, you can then drag the file to another folder and either drop it right on top, or hover for a second and that folder will open for you.
