Dock Preferences
You have control over several aspects of the Dock. To get the Dock preferences pane shown below, click the System Preferences icon (as shown to the left) in the Dock, and then click the “Dock” icon (also shown to the left).

Or from the Apple menu, choose “Dock....” From there you can either change several settings using that menu, or choose “Dock Preferences...” to get the preferences pane shown below.
