Fancy Folders

Many of the folders you see are identified with special icons. These fancy folders are created by the Macintosh operating system and they have special functions. Below you see the folders that are in your Home window. If more than one person uses the computer, each person can have his or her own Home window and their own set of these folders. Anything a user puts in these folders is accessible only to that user, with the exception of the Public folder; whatever is put in the Public folder is accessible to anyone using the machine.
