Chapter 5. Menus& Shortcuts

Whenever you are at the Finder level of your Macintosh or whenever you’re in any program on the Mac, you’ll see a menu bar across the top of the screen, as shown below. Also shown below is a drop-down menu: when you click on a word in the menu bar, a list of menu commands drops down. In addition to these drop-down menus, on the Mac you’ll also find pop-up menus, contextual menus, and others. This chapter discusses all the various sorts of menus, the commands, and how to use them.
