Caps Lock Key

When you press the Caps Lock key down, everything you type is in capital letters. If you’ve ever used a typewriter, you’ll find that Caps Lock is different from the Shift Lock on a typewriter: Caps Lock does not type the characters above the numbers or above the punctuation, such as the *, $, @, or < >, nor even the ?. If you want to type these Shift-characters you must press the Shift key, even if Caps Lock is down.

Some keyboard shortcuts will not work if the Caps Lock key is down, so check its position if you’re having problems.
