Return Key

The Return key is used for many things other than simply beginning a new paragraph. For instance, any button that is “pulsing” can be activated with the Return key instead of the mouse. Different programs use the Return key in different ways. Most things you do with the Return key you can also do with the Enter key, which is found in the numeric keypad.

Whenever you see a button pulsing, like the “Save,” “Open,” or “Create” buttons shown above, you can always press the Return key (or the Enter key) to activate that button instead of clicking on the button with the mouse.
