Turning it On
You’ve probably already done this, but just in case you haven’t, learn how to turn on your computer. On most Macs these days you’ll find a flat button with the “Power” symbol on it, as shown to the left. The button might be on the keyboard, the monitor (as on iMacs), or the tower (the big box that holds the actual computer parts). (The Power On button is not always the Power Off button—see Chapter 19 when you’re ready to shut down your Mac.)
