Printing

Now you need to print your document. If you are connected to a color inkjet printer like an Epson Stylus or an HP DeskWriter, all you have to do is go to the File menu, choose “Print...,” and click the blue Print button. (Of course, first make sure your printer is plugged into your Mac, plugged into a power supply, and is turned on and warmed up.)

If printing doesn’t work automatically, you probably need to tell the Mac where your printer is. Read pages 236–240. It’s also a good idea to install the software that came with your printer—it’s on a CD that arrived in your printer box. Many times you don’t have to install the software, but if you do you might discover you have extra printing options.
