Word Processing (typing)

Next to using the windows proficiently, the other main skill you need on a computer is word processing, or typing. Whether you type a novel or a note, it’s important to know how the computer works with text. Learning how to word process will also teach you other important techniques, such as how to open an application, start a new document, cut, copy, and paste. Read and do the practice exercises on pages 195–214. Then recreate the sample shown on page 216. If you spend the time to do this (maybe an hour or two), you’ll know more than most people who have been using a Mac for a long time.
