17. Using the Trash

A1: It has something in it.
A2: When you choose “Empty Trash” from the Finder menu.
A3: Drag the file to the Trash; Select the file, from the File menu choose “Move to Trash”; Select item, press Command Delete; Hold down Control key and click on item, then select “Move to Trash.”
A4: It opens to a window, displaying its contents.
A5: Click the Trash basket, then drag the item out of the window.
A6: Press Command Z.
A7: No.
A8:

Temporarily: Hold down the Option key when you choose “Empty Trash” from the Finder menu, or use the Trash pop-up menu in the Dock.

Permanently: Uncheck the warning box in the Finder Preferences.

A9: Unlock it.
A10: Drag the file down toward the Dock and the Trash will pop up. Or use the keyboard shortcut Command ...
