There is a concept that we have not covered up to this point since our rigs have been pretty simple. Now, we will create a biped rig that is a little more complicated and mimics what could be done in an animation pipeline with a larger team of artists. The concept is referencing. There are two places where the word “reference” is used in Maya. One place is in layers, where one clicks on the second box on the layer, which sets the display mode.
