Chapter 11. Closing Thoughts

RFID is not a silver bullet, but it is here to stay (and its use will continue to grow). Therefore, even if a business has not yet attempted to evaluate the benefits of RFID (in its business context), it cannot ignore the technology all together. A business might gain early cost savings and advantages over its competitors if it seizes the opportunity to perform this evaluation now. Remember, however, that in spite of the current excitement regarding the technology, RFID might not be suitable for everyone, and it is not an endeavor to take lightly.
