10.3. EAN*UCC Standard
EAN*UCC System is co-managed by the Uniform Code Council, Inc., and GS1 (formerly EAN International). The EAN*UCC System standardizes identification numbers, EDI transaction sets, XML schemas, and other supply-chain solutions that enable more efficient business processes.
The Uniform Code Council (UCC) (changing its name within the next few months to GS1 US) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the development and implementation of standards-based, global supply-chain solutions.
