SABER Circuit Simulator

SABER is a circuit simulator. It enables circuit analysis, schematic design, mixed-mode circuit simulation, waveform analysis, and report generation.

Starting SABER

  1. In the Start menu, locate and click “XWin32 2011.” In the same way, find “Secure Shell” and click “Secure Shell Client.” A terminal console will appear. Hit Enter. Enter “thor.cs.wright.edu” as host name, the UNIX log-on name as username and click OK. Enter your Password when prompted. Now, you are connected remotely.
  2. Type “sketch” on the terminal console. SABER will start automatically.

Setting up a circuit on SABER

  1. SABER created many files during netlisting and simulations. In order to keep everything in order, create a new folder in your home directory called “Saber” (or “Lab1” and so on). Use the SSH Secure File Transfer Client, or type “mkdir Saber” at the home directory command prompt.
  2. On the SABER circuit design window, construct a given circuit/schematic using the parts in the component window. The parts can be found in the component library at the bottom icon tray on your screen under “Select and place parts,” and you can search for parts individually. Left clock at the terminal to connect in your schematic and you can search for parts individually. Left click at the terminals to connect various parts in the schematic. It is recommended to save your work regularlywith a suitable file name. Make sure to save all your work in a designated folder in the Secure Shell Transfer ...
