About the Author
Wayne F. Cascio is a professor of management in the Graduate School of Business at the University of Colorado at Denver. He has been doing research and consulting on the topic of employment downsizing and restructuring for the past fifteen years. His article, “Downsizing: What Do We Know? What Have We Learned” won the Best Article award from the Academy of Management Executive in 1993, and it has been translated into many languages. In 1995 he wrote the U. S. Department of Labor’s “Guide to Responsible Restructuring.”
