This section discusses the relationship between the LSF software and other Solaris resource control features.

Base Solaris Software

Batch jobs that are launched by LSF run as user level processes in the timesharing scheduling class. As such, the priority that these jobs run at can be adjusted using the Solaris nice(1) command. However, it is not necessary to assign different nice levels to different batch jobs, since batch jobs can be placed in different priority batch queues.
