Acknowledgments

The exercises in this book are meant for you to perform alone as reflection pieces. Some are based on training exercises for groups introduced in my book The Conflict Management Skills Workshop and in The Conflict and Communication Activity Book, which I wrote with Keami D. Lewis. I am grateful to Keami for her help in clarifying, testing, and reporting those exercises.

The many people who have contributed to my thinking by participating in workshops and seminars, and especially those who have honored me by allowing me to work with them as a mediator, continue to help me by sharing their own expertise and experience. Thanks to all of you for being my best teachers.
