Research for Media Production, 2nd Edition

Introduction

This manual was originally published as a book based on the knowledge required for the National/Scottish Vocational Qualification (N/SVQ) in Production Research intended for those already working in the media. In revising it for the Media Manual series, information has been added to help students and young people who hope to work in the industry.

There never has been a clear definition of the job of researcher and, as technology develops and becomes easier to use, the divisions between different occupational sectors are becoming more fluid.
