Chapter 22

Image Resolution

Resolution is a key part of the rendering process. Image resolution determines the size and view of the rendering. Resolutions can be set for digital presentation (online or PowerPoint) or printed output, such as 8-½″ × 11″, 11g × 14″, and 11g × 17″. You can also set custom and larger sizes.

Resolution has a direct effect on the rendering process: higher resolutions provide more clarity but take longer to render, as discussed in Chapter 20. This chapter explains how to determine resolution for your renderings.
