Landing Pages: Land on It and Squeeze It, Baby

After planning and designing your inbox magazine with expert panelists and your own content, your next question might be, “How do I get subscribers?”

This is where the fun really starts because you can start building your following and have a list of people that you can talk to on a regular basis. If you don’t have subscribers, then nobody will read all the great content you’ve created or compiled. Even worse, without any subscribers, you won’t have anyone to pay you money, either.

Up until this point, you’ve been planning and building your inbox magazine. Now you get to find out who wants to read what you’ve created. For this, you need to understand the basics of list building, so I’ll give you a step-by-step blueprint for getting your first 1,000 subscribers absolutely free.

Quantity Plus Quality Equals a Great List

Of course, there are multiple ways of getting subscribers that involve paying money, but until you have that first batch of subscribers, you won’t know the value of your subscribers. You need to know what the average subscriber is worth in the first 30 days and the first 60 days. That way, you’ll know how much you can afford to spend to keep growing your community.

On average for a revenue projection, I like to use a metric of 50 cents to $1 per subscriber per month. Of course, this isn’t a promise, but it gives you a goal to strive for to identify the value of your own inbox magazine subscribers.
