7. Using Regression to Test Differences Between Group Means

This is a book about regression analysis. Nevertheless, I’m going to start this chapter by discussing different scales of measurement. When you use regression analysis, your predicted (or outcome, or dependent) variable is nearly always measured on an interval or ratio scale, one whose values are numeric quantities.
