Sources for Account Research and Planning

When conducting research, I use two resources to obtain information. One is the company’s Web site, and the second is OneSource (www.onesource.com).

In general, a company’s Web site will provide you with lots of useful information about the company from a new business development perspective. So will OneSource. I prefer OneSource because it is more time efficient and more in depth, but the corporate Web site is also a good resource.

OneSource aggregates information from a number of other information portals and provides you with the information in one location (hence the name OneSource). Perhaps the most useful feature in OneSource is that it provides you with the “corporate family.”
