Summary

You noticed two things if you read this entire appendix: First, it contains more than 200 commands. Second, you have way too much time on your hands—go out and program some new Linux drivers or something!

There are many more commands than those listed. You may have noticed that scripting languages like awk, perl, tcl/tk, and others were not listed, and all the compiled language commands (like gcc, g++, g77, gjc, and so on) are also missing. It would be possible to write an entire book that did nothing but list the commands and a short description. That book comes with every Linux system; it is called the manual and can be accessed with the man command!
