Chapter 7. Gnome Applications
The Gnome desktop that ships with Red Hat Linux 6 comes with a suite of preinstalled personal productivity applications. These include:
Calendar, a personal appointment organizer
GnomeCard, a contact manager
Gnotepad+, a text editor
Gnumeric, a spreadsheet program
GTimeTracker, a project management tool
In this chapter, I'll show you how to use these applications.
You might want to bear in mind that although these applications are both very powerful and free—good things, indeed!—they are not commercially produced or supported. As a consequence, although these applications are stable, not all of their components are fully functional.
