The Linux Document Project

The Linux Document Project is an attempt to provide comprehensive Linux documentation. It is hosted on mirrored sites throughout the world.

Figure 5.12. The Linux HOWTO Index page provides a convenient way to get practical answers to many questions.

To open the Linux Document Project site:

Open your Netscape browser.
2.
In the location box, type http://www.redhat.com/mirrors/LDP/
3.
Press Enter. If you are connected, the Red Hat Web site will open.

Tip

The default Gnome installation places an icon linked to the Linux Document Project on your desktop.
