Using Multimedia

You can use the Gnome Control Center to enable and configure multimedia support.

To enable sound support:

1.
In the Gnome Control Center, double-click Multimedia in the list at the left. This expands the category.
2.
Choose Sound, beneath Multimedia. The Sound panel will appear (Figure 3.17).
3.
Select GNOME Sound Support to enable sound.
4.
Click OK.

To associate sounds with events:

1.
In the Gnome Control Center, double-click Multimedia in the list at the left. This expands the category.

Choose Sound, beneath Multimedia. The Sound panel will appear (Figure 3.17).

Select Sound for Events.
