Using Multimedia
You can use the Gnome Control Center to enable and configure multimedia support.
To enable sound support:
1. | In the Gnome Control Center, double-click Multimedia in the list at the left.
This expands the category. |
2. | Choose Sound, beneath Multimedia.
The Sound panel will appear (Figure 3.17). |
3. | Select GNOME Sound Support to enable sound. |
4. | Click OK. |
To associate sounds with events:
1. | In the Gnome Control Center, double-click Multimedia in the list at the left.
This expands the category. |
2. | Choose Sound, beneath Multimedia.
The Sound panel will appear (Figure 3.17). |
3. | Select Sound for Events. |
4. | Choose the Sound Events tab.
