Chapter 8. Hardware Troubleshooting

In the last chapter, we identified that the filesystems on our NFS were mounted as Read-Only. In order to identify the cause, we performed quite a bit of troubleshooting around NFS and filesystems. We used commands such as showmount to see what NFS shares are available and the mount command to show the mounted filesystems.

Once we identified the issue, we were able to use the fsck command to perform a filesystem check and recover the filesystems.
