About the authors

Charlotte Brunskill is archivist and records manager at the Paul Mellon Centre for British Art (sister institution to the Yale Center for British Art in New Haven, CT). Before joining the Paul Mellon Centre in February 2011 she spent seven years at the National Portrait Gallery, where she was responsible for establishing, from scratch, a comprehensive records management and archive programme. She previously worked in a similar capacity at the University of Westminster and the National Gallery. She has been an active member of the National Museums and Galleries Archivist & Records Managers Group, and has published a number of articles and taught records management principles and practice for the London Museums Hub.
