10.1 Room Responses

Much of the space in this book could have been filled with the corresponding plots of the reverberation times (RT60) and the energy/time curves for each of the rooms discussed, and for each of the photographs shown. The ‘waterfall’ plots for each room could also have been included, and indeed, many people would perhaps have expected such, but measurements often tell us very little about the perceived sound characteristics that we have been discussing in the previous chapters.
