Parts I through V addressed what reconfigurable architectures look like (Part I), how we can develop reconfigurable solutions (Parts I, II, IV, V), and, by example, where reconfigurable solutions can be particularly beneficial (Part V). In this, the final part of the book, we examine why reconfigurable architectures are beneficial and we gain insight into the areas where the benefits of reconfigurable solutions lie. We also observe technology trends and examine why reconfigurable architectures may become increasingly important over time.
