- Is curious, paying attention to emerging trends and how they might affect your work?
- Names the elephant in the room and has ideas about how to get it out of the room?
- Steps in to take on gnarly tasks that require creative solutions?
- Has been told more than once by a boss to âgive it a rest because thatâs not how we do things around hereâ?
If you answered âyesâ to one or more of these questions, you may very well be a rebel at work. Rebels ask hard questions, donât take things at face value, and donât accept that things have to be the way theyâve always been. We are also often the ones who can see the future coming and pick up on subtle indicators of change before others do. Above all, weâre people who want to create positive changes, not just whine about whatâs not working. Weâre an oddly optimistic bunch, believing in whatâs possible while many of our coworkers give up.
