5.8. Summary

Today's reality is that we all have COM-based server applications that can benefit from integrating with other applications via Web services. In addition, most desktops already have the Visual Basic runtime installed but do not or cannot have the .NET runtime installed. Both of these realities make the SOAP Toolkit a valuable tool in your Web Services toolbox. The SOAP Toolkit lets you easily expose and invoke Web services with the high level API. For complete control, you can use the toolkit's low level API and take matters into your own hands.
